These forms, these bodies, try to rise above themselves. 
The limbs are often incomplete to give more of an idea of creatures than humans, and they are often headless to represent the abandonment of the self, making them ego-less.
They are like sacred wrappings, emptied of ego, seeking reunion with a divine that can fill them.
They dissolve and recompose, because they are made of a matter that is composed of the same elements as the surrounding landscape, so they mutate, in a continuous metamorphosis from creature to landscape and vice versa, so that they are universal matter, connected to each other and conditioned by the changing elements of nature, like the clouds that surround them.
